Die taalonderrig is gebaseer op 'n verskeidenheid temas wat weer die onderrig van konsepte en vaardighede met betrekking tot holistiese voorskoolse ontwikkeling insluit.
Benewens 'n "informele" leerbenadering in die baie vroeë stadiums, sluit die program musiek, drama, sang, poësie, kuns, handwerk en gekanaliseerde "leer deur spel"-mediums in.
Bevordering tot die hoofstroom van 'n skoolstelsel is afhanklik van 'n kind se taalvermoë, akademiese prestasie, ouderdom en volwassenheid.

The language teaching is based on a variety of themes which in turn incorporate the teaching of concepts and skills pertaining to holistic pre-school development.
In addition to an “informal” learning approach in the very early stages, the programme includes music, drama, singing, poetry, art, craft and channelled “learning through play” mediums.
Promotion into the main stream of a schooling system is dependent upon a child’s language ability, academic achievement, age and maturity.
REKENAARSENTRUM / COMPUTER CENTRE
Primêre Skool Veldenvlei spog met twee volledig toegeruste rekenaarsentrums. Tans is daar 40 werkstasies in elke sentrum, almal gekoppel aan ‘n netwerksisteem. Evaluering vind op ‘n gereelde grondslag plaas en elke leerder kan op hierdie wyse op sy / haar persoonlike vlak werk. Die volgende programme word aangebied:

KODERING & ROBOTIKA / CODING & ROBOTICS

‘N SKOOL MET KULTUUR / A SCHOOL WITH A CULTURE
CHOIR / KOOR
● Aangesien Primêre Skool Veldenvlei, ‘n hoë premie plaas op die kulturele vorming van sy leerlinge, word voorsiening gemaak vir twee kore, nl. die junior- en senior koor.
● Both choirs have various performances throughout the year, the highlight being the bi-annual choir evening when neighbouring schools and a celebrity group or individual performers are invited.
SKAAK / CHESS
● Die klublede groei elke jaar en spog telkens met ‘n span waarmee deeglik rekening gehou moet word. Primêre Skool Veldenvlei het alreeds ‘n paar formidabele kampioene opgelewer.
● Since chess is also a learning process, pupils are encouraged to take part in this cultural activity. They are taken good care of by dedicated coaches and take part in various tournaments on both regional and provincial level.
ORATORVERENIGING / ORATOR SOCIETY / REDENAARS
● Die vermoë om voor ‘n gehoor jou sê te kan sê, vorm deel van ons leerlinge se ontwikkeling. Die leerlinge word deeglik opgelei in die fynere kuns van die opstel en lewering van toesprake met onderwerpe wat ‘n wye veld dek. Kompetisies vind op ‘n gereelde grondslag plaas.
● The ability to address an audience is part and parcel of our pupils’ development. Our pupils are coached in the art of writing and delivering speeches covering a wide variety of topics. Our pupils take part regularly in competitions.

● To give the academically stronger learners an extra opportunity to test their knowledge, extend their general knowledge and to get them involved in their community and local environmental issues.
● Slegs leerders in Gr. 6 & 7 met ‘n gemiddelde akademiese persentasie van 85% en meer sal deel wees van hierdie prestige klub.
